⚠ FORENSIC WARNING · METRIC PROVENANCE Manufacturer GPS-hour claims are produced under non-comparable laboratory conditions. This is why some devices register a mathematically improbable low milliwatt drain on Tab 02:
· Always-On Display (AOD) disabled, reducing real-world drain by 30-60%. · Single-band L1 GNSS tracking only: multi-band L1+L5 doubles receiver power consumption. · Power-saving profiles active: lower screen brightness, reduced heart-rate polling, suppressed background sync. · Solar contribution counted into baseline hours (Garmin Solar variants), inflating the GPS-only figure. · Power-saving and mixed-use claims (Samsung 48h exercise mode, OnePlus 48h) are not continuous multi-band GPS figures. Comparing them to pure-GPS claims is category error. The drain figure shown is the derived average from the manufacturer's own published number, not a real-world measurement.
